I've been peeking into a little corner of my summer garden today through my camera lens.
My camera helps me see details in my garden that I don't otherwise take the time to notice.
Like how the daisies are growing all the way up to touch the new Fresh Flowers sign hanging on the side of our shed.
And the way these tall lacy flowers fit perfectly beneath the window box
and cascade over their shorter neighbors.
How the lacy yellow petals on one flower complement the bold yellow fringe on the other.
And how the textures of these two so different flowers, when captured together by my camera, help me to appreciate the beauty of the other even more.
I just love how my camera slows me down and opens my eyes wide to details. It lets me see and enjoy my garden in a whole new way.
How about you? Do you peek into your garden through your camera lens?
Please join me as I slow down to smell the roses at these lovely garden parties:

Oh what a wonderful perspective the camera brings to your garden Laurel! I was so looking forward to seeing the daisies growing under your sign and you captured it perfectly. And the shades of yellow, orange and rust are gorgeous! I will definitely make a point of venturing out into the garden next week and focusing on details!
ReplyDeleteREALLY lovely colors in your pics today!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Laurel! I'd love to add a bit more to our small area to garden in here at the condo. Hubby just decided we are not going to put that patio in after all, which is fine, so I will probably get some perennials on sale to put in now.
ReplyDeleteYou have some lovely flowers there...I really like your daisies..I have much less and they are all done already. Beautiful garden shots! :)

Your gardens are gorgeous, Laurel! I haven't planted anything this year and I miss it. :) Last Summer was so hot, everything dies before July. I wish I had you "green thumb". Have a wonderful week. Maria

Oh my! Your garden is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHi, Laurel! Your garden and photography are just beautiful! What are the flowers called with the yellow fringe on them? They had those flowers at the Biltmore and I've wanted them since my visit there! Just gorgeous. I hope you continue to have a great summer. You wouldn't believe my vegetable garden full of zucchini, crookneck squash, spaghetti squash, and now pumpkins and mini pumpkins. It's like a jungle in there. I've had a lot going on this summer and just haven't weeded anything, it's basically square foot gardening that I'm doing with how close I planted everything. :) ~ Jamie
ReplyDeleteI do......all the time! Love your garden, especially your daisies. Mine are just about bloomed out. I have enjoyed picking them for a cottage garden bouquet. Have a sweet weekend. xo
