Friday Finds

Let's not dilly dally around because I have a whole bunch of goodness to share today.

Linda, from It All Started With Paint started an Etsy Shop recently called Drop Cloth Designs, where she sells lots of gorgeous pillows. Not only does she sell beauties like this one, she generously posted a tutorial on her blog for making one yourself. This pom pom pillow is my favorite.

Michele at Knot too Shabby painted these charming white birds and branches on top of her refinished nightstands.

And speaking of charming, check out this vintage You Are My Sunshine sign made by Dean and Shannon at (aka) Design.

This gorgeous slipcover is made from a painter's drop cloth! Head over to Postcards from the Ridge to see Angie's before and after photos of her sofa.

I've been collecting ideas and planning to paint a sign for my loft for awhile now. On this one, made and sold by Cottage Charm Creations' Todd and Jodi, I love the colors, the distressing, the lettering and the rope hanger.

Over at Diapered Daze and Knights you'll find a great tutorial for making this pallet potting table. I've added this to my husband's honey-do list.

The timing should be just right to make a wheelbarrow salad garden. This one, photographed at the Malvern Gardening Show by Ewa in the Garden has lettuce, arugula, and parsley.

I'm always on the lookout for easy smart ways I can change my housekeeping to help keep the planet a great place to live.  Ann at Moonbeams and Butterflies has a regular tip feature she calls:

This week Ann has 10 win-win tips for laundry that will help me clean my laundry while making the earth's water supply less contaminated.

When my daughters were in high school they used to have diy spa days at home. They would make homemade beauty concoctions and spend the day doing facials and manicures and visiting together. Julia at Blissfully Content has made an all-natural facial cleanser with a yogurt base that reminded me of those days with my daughters. As a gift to myself, I'm going to make some of Julia's cleanser using the recipe she shares on her website, and have a diy spa day with my daughters on Mother's Day.

And while I'm talking about Mother's Day, how cute is this  MOM banner for a Mother's Day cake? You can find the free printable for this cute banner designed by Sugar Tot Designs' Telisa at I (heart) Nap Time

And, of course, now you'll need a scrumptious cake from which to hang your cute MOM banner. How about this Fresh Strawberry Yogurt Cake? Find the recipe by Sommer at A Spicy Perspective.
