Saint Patrick's Day Chalkboard

Top of the mornin' to ye!

Yesterday afternoon I spent a couple of hours watching House Hunters International (wishing I was on a tropical island) while I wrote out my favorite Irish blessing on my big chalkboard.

I cut shamrocks out of scrapbook paper and strung them on ribbon for a bit of Irish bling.

Though my hand is a bit tired today, I think it's my favorite chalkboard so far.

I made a Saint Patrick's Day bouquet for my Irish Waterford Chrystal vase from a few craft store shamrocks and hats

The Irish flag is from the Festival of Nations in Red Lodge, Montana. The man selling them asked me why I was buying both Irish and Norwegian flags that day. When I told him I was both Irish and Norwegian, he turned to my husband and said, "I'm so sorry!

When I asked him to explain himself, he said that I must surely have a quick and fierce temper with my heritage of both Irish and Viking warriors.

He was right!
But mostly I'm very sweet.

Thank you for visiting today!
